Making a Cowl

This is a very simple project on how to make a cowl in crochet.

Stitches used are chains and double crochet. You will be working in long rows, completing about 16 to 17 rows. End sides are joined to make a big loop. The yarn used is Simply Soft, by Caron. This is a worsted weight yarn size 4, very soft yarn and somewhat shiny. The cowl will be very soft and malleable. One skein of yarn of 6 oz is enough for one cowl.

For this project, you will need the following items:

1 skein (6 oz) Simply Soft, by Caron, color of you choice

5 mm crochet hook

Scissors

Tapestry needle (thick needle with a dull point and a big eye)
